Effective Date February 17, 2022

About our Terms

The following terms and conditions apply to the Picker app and website, hereafter referred to as Picker. Picker is owned and operated by Katet Software, LLC ("Katet Software", "we", "our", "the company"). By using Picker you are agreeing to the terms and conditions published on this web page.

Please read this page and our privacy policy carefully and let us know if you have any questions by emailing [email protected].

1. Free Features

Picker includes a core set of free features that are available to you when you install Picker into your Slack workspace. These features include, but are not limited to, the ability to pick from our predefined options, for example: Code Review, Stand-up, Task, Coffee, and more. Once a /pick command is issued Picker will then select a member(s) at random, within the channel that the /pick command was issued.

By using Picker you acknowledge that Katet Softare reserves the right to add, augment, or remove any free feature at any given time based on the needs of the company.

Please refer to the help menu within Slack via the "/pick help" command for a full list of free offerings.

2. Paid Features

Picker currently offers the ability to schedule Picks for paying subscribers. To subscribe to this and any future paid features, please refer to https://www.patreon.com/picker.

Announcements may also be found on our Patreon page, these announcements may include items such as: bugfixes, updates, and notifications of changes to our policies.

In the future, if Picker becomes too costly to maintain, we may need to restrict currently free features and add paid tiers according to usage to help offset our costs.

3. Your Account and Personal Data

To use Picker you are granting access to the data which you agree to provide, upon installation of Picker, as described during the installation process. Picker will use the data granted during install to perform its functions, including, but not limited to, viewing information about the installer, the Slack workspace, the channels and channel members where Picker is used.

Any interaction with Picker, from within Slack, may be logged for monitoring and error handling purposes.

All data will be retained for three years.

You may request a copy of your data from Picker by contacting [email protected]. We will provide an export of your data within 14 days.

You may also request that we remove all of your data from our database, after you uninstall Picker, and contact [email protected]. Include your business' name and Slack instance name, a responsible party's full name, email, and phone number associated with the business. A confirmation will be provided to you within 30 days that your data has been removed from our database.

In no event will Picker, or Katet Software, be liable, with respect to anything that occurs to you while using or attempting to use Picker, including but not limited to indirect, special, incidental, or consequential loss or damages or loss of profit, business, revenue, savings, or business opportunity.
